PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how Hypermint Digital Pty Ltd, ACN 697383887, trading as BlyssFeed (“Hypermint Digital Pty Ltd”, “BlyssFeed”, “Our”, “We”, “Us”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, protects, and handles personal information when You access or use the BlyssFeed mobile application, website, landing pages, content feeds, features, notifications, embedded content, and related services (“App” or “Service”).

This Privacy Policy forms part of Our Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”). By downloading, accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the App, You acknowledge that You have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If You have any questions, please contact Us at Hello@BlyssFeed.com.

A. DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION

1. Capitalized terms, not defined elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, shall have the meaning given to them in the Terms.

2. “Personal information” means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether true or not and whether recorded in a material form or not.

3. “Usage Data” means information about how You access, interact with, and use the App, including device, log, analytics, preference, content, notification, and activity data.

4. “YouTube API Services” means YouTube’s application programming interfaces, tools, data, embedded player functionality, and related services used by BlyssFeed to retrieve, organise, display, recommend, classify, or embed YouTube content.

5. Any reference to the singular includes a reference to the plural and vice versa, and headings are used for convenience only and not for interpretation.

B. WHO WE ARE

1. BlyssFeed is owned and operated by Hypermint Digital Pty Ltd, ACN 697383887, a private entity registered in Australia.

2. BlyssFeed is a positive content discovery and curation service designed to help Users find uplifting news, positive stories, good-news snippets, saved stories, and mood-based video content from around the world.

C. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

1. We may collect information You provide directly, including:

(a) name;

(b) email address;

(c) account login information;

(d) support messages, feedback, complaints, or enquiries;

(e) report, removal request, copyright request, or creator request details;

(f) preferences, selected moods, saved items, hidden items, and notification settings; and

(g) any other information You choose to provide to Us.

2. We may collect information about Your use of the App, including:

(a) stories viewed, saved, shared, hidden, or reported;

(b) BlyssVideos moods selected, video categories viewed, and content interactions;

(c) search, browsing, tap, scroll, session, and engagement activity;

(d) notification opens, settings, and interaction data;

(e) app version, feature usage, errors, crashes, and diagnostic data; and

(f) general analytics about how Users use and improve the App.

3. We may collect device and technical information, including:

(a) device type, model, operating system, browser type, app version, language, and region;

(b) IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, time zone, and network information;

(c) device identifiers, advertising identifiers, push notification tokens, and cookie or similar technology identifiers where permitted;

(d) log data, server logs, security logs, and performance data; and

(e) information about crashes, bugs, diagnostics, and technical errors.

4. We may collect payment-related information if paid features, subscriptions, or purchases are offered. Payments may be processed by app stores or third-party payment providers, and We may receive limited transaction details such as purchase status, subscription status, product type, renewal status, and receipt or verification data. We do not intend to collect full payment card numbers directly through BlyssFeed.

5. We may collect information from third parties, including:

(a) app stores;

(b) analytics providers;

(c) crash reporting providers;

(d) hosting and infrastructure providers;

(e) YouTube API Services and Google services;

(f) publishers, creators, rights holders, or authorised representatives who contact Us; and

(g) public sources or content providers used to identify, classify, or display positive content.

D. YOUTUBE, GOOGLE AND EMBEDDED VIDEO DATA

1. BlyssFeed may use YouTube API Services and YouTube embedded players to display YouTube Shorts or other YouTube videos within BlyssVideos.

2. When You view or interact with YouTube embedded videos, YouTube or Google may collect information from You directly through the embedded player, Your device, Your browser, Your Google account, or related services in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.

3. BlyssFeed may use YouTube API Services to identify, retrieve, organise, classify, rank, recommend, or display YouTube video information, including video IDs, titles, thumbnails, channel names, descriptions, durations, categories, availability status, and related metadata.

4. BlyssFeed may store limited YouTube metadata for operational purposes, including displaying videos in the correct category, avoiding duplicates, supporting reports, responding to removal requests, keeping feeds functional, improving recommendations, and monitoring availability.

5. BlyssFeed aims to keep stored YouTube metadata reasonably up to date and may remove, refresh, hide, or stop displaying videos that become unavailable, restricted, non-embeddable, non-compliant, unsuitable, or inconsistent with BlyssFeed’s content purpose.

6. Your use of YouTube videos and YouTube embedded players may also be governed by YouTube’s and Google’s own terms, privacy policies, and settings. Google’s Privacy Policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

7. BlyssFeed does not intentionally download, copy, edit, re-upload, host, sell, license, or claim ownership of YouTube videos displayed through embedded YouTube players.

E. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

1. We may use information to:

(a) provide, operate, maintain, and improve the App;

(b) create, manage, and secure accounts;

(c) personalise positive-news cards, snippets, saved stories, recommendations, and mood-based feeds;

(d) operate BlyssVideos and classify content by mood, positivity, safety, category, duration, source, and relevance;

(e) send push notifications, reminders, content updates, service messages, legal notices, and support communications;

(f) respond to support requests, feedback, reports, complaints, creator requests, publisher requests, rights-holder requests, and copyright or IP complaints;

(g) monitor, detect, prevent, and respond to misuse, fraud, spam, security incidents, technical issues, policy breaches, and unlawful activity;

(h) analyse usage, performance, crashes, bugs, trends, and product improvements;

(i) manage paid features, subscriptions, purchases, refunds, or app store processes where applicable;

(j) comply with legal obligations, app store requirements, platform rules, YouTube API Services requirements, regulatory requests, and enforceable legal process;

(k) enforce Our Terms and protect Users, creators, publishers, rights holders, partners, platforms, and BlyssFeed; and

(l) carry out any other purpose notified to You or permitted by law.

F. LEGAL BASIS AND AUSTRALIAN PRIVACY

1. If the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to Us, We will handle personal information in accordance with those requirements.

2. Depending on where You are located, We may rely on one or more legal bases to process information, including:

(a) Your consent;

(b) performance of a contract with You;

(c) Our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and promoting the App;

(d) compliance with legal obligations;

(e) protection of Users, creators, publishers, partners, platforms, and Our rights; and

(f) any other basis permitted by applicable law.

3. If You are located outside Australia, additional privacy rights may apply depending on Your country or region.

G. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

(g) regulators, courts, law enforcement agencies, government authorities, or other parties where required or permitted by law;

(h) parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructure, sale of assets, change of control, or similar transaction; and

(i) other parties with Your consent or at Your direction.

2. We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling personal information for money. If future advertising, analytics, or tracking activities are treated as “sale” or “sharing” under privacy laws that apply to You, We will provide rights and notices where required.

3. Third-party services may collect information directly from You under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites, apps, platforms, embedded players, app stores, publishers, creators, advertisers, or external services.

H. COOKIES, TRACKING AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

1. BlyssFeed websites, landing pages, embedded content, analytics tools, or third-party services may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, device identifiers, and similar technologies.

2. These technologies may be used to:

(a) remember preferences;

(b) keep the Service secure;

(c) understand usage and performance;

(d) diagnose bugs and crashes;

(e) support embedded content;

(f) measure campaigns or referrals; and

(g) improve the App and user experience.

3. You may be able to manage cookies or tracking through Your browser settings, device settings, app settings, or consent tools where available.

4. If You disable certain technologies, some parts of the App may not function properly.

I. NOTIFICATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS

1. If You enable notifications, We may send You app notifications, reminders, updates, content recommendations, feature announcements, account notices, legal notices, or service messages.

2. You can usually manage push notifications through Your device settings or app settings.

3. You may unsubscribe from certain marketing or promotional communications where applicable. Some transactional, legal, account, support, or security messages may still be sent where permitted by law.

4. YouTube metadata may be refreshed, updated, deleted, or hidden where required by YouTube API Services requirements, platform rules, operational needs, or content availability changes.

K. DATA SECURITY

1. We take reasonable steps designed to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure.

2. Security measures may include technical, organisational, administrative, and access-control measures appropriate to the nature of the information.

3. However, no app, website, network, database, transmission, device, platform, storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

4. You are responsible for keeping Your account credentials, device, email account, and login details secure.

L. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

1. BlyssFeed is operated from Australia, but We may use service providers, infrastructure, platforms, and partners located in Australia or other countries.

2. Your information may be processed, stored, or accessed in countries outside Your country of residence, including where Our service providers, app stores, analytics providers, YouTube, Google, hosting providers, or support providers operate.

3. Where required by applicable law, We will take reasonable steps to protect personal information transferred internationally.

M. CHILDREN AND YOUNG USERS

1. BlyssFeed is not intended for children under 13 years old, or any higher minimum age required in Your country.

2. If You are under the age of majority in Your jurisdiction, You should use BlyssFeed only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. If We become aware that We have collected personal information from a child in a way that is not permitted by applicable law, We will take reasonable steps to delete or handle that information as required.

N. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

2. Deleting Your account may remove or disable access to saved stories, preferences, notification settings, account history, and personalised features.

3. We may retain certain information where required or permitted for legal, security, dispute, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, compliance, platform, or legitimate business purposes.

P. THIRD-PARTY LINKS, CONTENT AND SERVICES

1. BlyssFeed may include links, embeds, previews, buttons, APIs, SDKs, Content, functionality, advertisements, or services from third parties, including YouTube, Google, Apple, Google Play, app stores, publishers, creators, analytics providers, hosting providers, payment providers, advertisers, and other service providers.

2. When You interact with third-party services, including embedded YouTube videos, app stores, publisher websites, external articles, Sponsored Content, or “Open on YouTube” links, those third parties may collect, use, disclose, and store information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

3. We encourage You to review third-party privacy policies before interacting with third-party services.

Q. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

1. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

2. If changes are material, We will take reasonable steps to notify Users, such as by updating the “Last updated” date, showing an in-app notice, sending a notification, sending an email, or otherwise making the updated Privacy Policy available.

3. Unless otherwise stated, updated Privacy Policy terms take effect when posted or made available.

4. Your continued use of BlyssFeed after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect means You acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
